12/4/2007 - RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- More than 3,300 country music radio stations nationwide will get a present in the mail this week, courtesy of the Air Force.

This year's "Red, White, and Air Force Blue Christmas" radio program CD, featuring multiple Grammy Award-winning recording artist LeAnn Rimes, is not commercially available.

Ms. Rimes recalls her fondest holiday memories in an in-depth interview on the program, intended as an hour-long public service announcement that station program managers can incorporate into their holiday playlists. The show also includes songs from Ms. Rimes' holiday album and her new release, "Family."

Station program directors recently received a special "teaser card" announcing the upcoming program, supplemented by an online Internet link to give them an idea of what the program offers: http://www.airforce.com/christmas.

"This Web link gives recruiters an efficient way of showing station program managers a quick sample into the sound and feel of this year's program," said Master Sgt. Deshan Woods, the airforce.com online manager for Air Force Recruiting Service.

"Today's (program) managers are very busy, and this link is a one-click access point into some of the show's audio clips without them having to unwrap a CD to review an entire one-hour show," Sergeant Woods said. "It is an excellent holiday product for the American public, created by the Air Force."

"This (public service announcement) elevates (Air Force) awareness and is packaged with an uplifting holiday message," said Maj. Sean McKenna, the Air Force Recruiting Service public affairs officer.
